how to make TISSUE PAPER GARLANDS

Saturday, October 13, 2012

coloured tissue paper
foil paper (optional)
scissors
sticky tape
ribbon to hang the garlands on

Lay out tissue paper then fold it concertina-style. Cut a series of strips (approximately 1cm wide) from one end – you’ll need around 5-6 strips to make each section.

Unfold strips of paper, laying each end to end. Pick up paper in the middle and twist to create a loose join.

Wrap twisted paper over ribbon, then twist the two sides together and sticky tape to hold in place. Repeat until you run out of paper, mixing colours as you go.
