images of WHERE CHILDREN SLEEP

Amazing and powerful snaps of where and how children sleep from around the world. I have to say they are powerful and the emotion comes from deep down. As a mother I believe we just have a protection valve that never closes and we want to protect all children from every walk of life. These images will move you and make you realise the diversity of cultures and nations throughout the world. I find some of the images haunting and tears well up in my eyes. Don't you just want to hug them and make them feel safe?

In 2011 James Mollison, a Kenyan born, England raised, Venice based photographer launched a photography book - 'Where Children Sleep'. This book opens your eyes and draws the attention to a child's material and cultural circumstances which offers a view on class, poverty and the diversity of children around the world. You can view more of the powerful images here.
