Earlier this year I bought Parisian Chic - A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange. I love the simplicity and the effortless chic of the Parisian. Ines was the first model to ever to sign a contract with Chanel. In her 50's, Ines is a true style icon and shares her style secrets in the book.

Ines and her daughter's Nine and Violette

In the book it is noted that their are basics every wardrobe should have.
They are the magnificent seven.

1. A Blazer

2. The Trench

3. The Navy Cashmere Sweater

4. The Tank

5. The Little Black Dress

6. The Perfect Jean

&. The Leather Jacket

I would like to think that these could all be translated into a child's closet with a few additions along the way.
What do you think? I will be sharing ways to incorporate these into your children's closet.
